I think its about time we have another Sunspear/Lightbringer point weekend, Considering its been quite a while since we've had one.

I dont see how this is a terrible idea, We've had One SS/LB Weekend, if i'm not mistaken. And i doubt favor is going to expire anytime soon.

SS/LB are EASY titles... I went from 7 -> 9 in both in about a day...

I also got R7 from simply doing quests and stuff... Why make an already easy title easier? o.0

To answer your question, you are seeing this as someone wanting to only max a title, nothing wrong with that.

Others on guru will look at it as this will hurt my stacks of play money and make my e-peen shrink.

I'd love to see another ss/lb weekend...I really don't enjoy spending long hours grinding points. Plus, double points still wouldn't make it completely easy. You barely get any points per run.

it has nothing to do with my money and stacks of ectos or e-peen. in fact, i currently am sitting at just 170k and 0 ectos. (skill capping, armor, and shiny weapons are expensive) i'm just tired of all the threads complaining about ecto prices and SF buff/nerf QQs that go along with unlimited favor of the gods.

it has to do with the fact that you posted in sardelac which is where one goes for support or criticism for their opinions and ideas. i think it's stupid, stupid, stupid. others may feel differently. and asking "Which has to do with what in my post?" in sardelac when someone gives their opinion (which i reiterate is an opion forum) makes you not very bright also. but hey that's just my opinion.

We still have favor from the last one. I'd expect Anet to at least wait until that favor is gone until they do another one. Considering the issues caused by the last, another one just asks for more trouble. If there hadn't been an issue with the amount of favor earned being stored correctly, we would still have another 34k minutes on top of what we currently have... maybe more.

While I appreciate working to earn titles, I hate it when games make it impossible to achieve the title without hours and hours of mindless grinding. SS and LB titles require more mindless grinding than I like. If someone doesn't like the weekend, there are plenty of different areas of the game in which one can participate to avoid accidentally doubling their LB/SS points if one feels it cheapens the gaming experience, or one can just avoid taking any shrine bounties for those titles on those days.

/signed for a weekend at some undetermined future time.

Well actually that last rank of sunspear and lightbringer takes quite a bit to get even if you do points runs

so /signed for another weekend but it should wait a bit till favor goes down...
